Vineet Yadav

Title: Principal Investigator
Institution: Jet Propulsion Laboratory

Dr. Yadav has extensive experience (>15 years) in carbon cycle science, regional inverse problems and computational algorithms with applications in geosciences. He is presently working on including in-situ, aircraft and satellite (includes representative geostationary) observations in atmospheric inverse models to obtain high-resolution spatio-temporal estimates of CO2 fluxes for urban regions. Previously he has developed software for atmospheric inversions and has been involved in developing data assimilation methods for estimating global CO2 fluxes. Additionally, as a Co-I he has worked and managed projects associated with developing software pipelines, inverse problems, data assimilation and methods for gap filling satellite observations. As part of this project, he would be the primary person responsible for managing the project and would also work on data product design, validation-OSSE design, and software development for operationalizing an end-to-end pipeline from data inputs to the creation of data records. Lastly, due to Dr. Yadav’s familiarity with all aspects of the proposed research he is ably suited to serve as a PI and coordinate research on the proposed project.
